The Atomic Bomb:
Destroyer of Worlds

Thesis

While fighting to end WWll, American-German scientists embarked on a new frontier, changing warfare and the world by developing the atomic bomb. Although it was used to end the deadliest conflict in human history, it led to national controversy about whether the U.S. should have gone to such extreme measures. As a result, the United Nations signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, hoping to deter the further use of atomic weapons.
