“We all want to change the world”
- The Beatles

 Citation: Revolution, The Beatles

Before Green Day and the Sex Pistols speaking out about the government through song was not a thing. But when the Beatles wrote “Revolution” things changed. The song is about waiting to change the world in a nonviolent and peaceful way. “Revolution” was supposed to be a wake-up call due to prior events such as the world wars, Vietnam, the assassinations of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. and not to mention multiple riots/protests. “Revolution” was a wake-up call to people around the world.
