Timeline

April 19th, 1775 - The Revolutionary War begins by guns being fired between the British and Continental Army (Museum, Boston Tea Party Ships).

July 4th, 1776 - The Declaration of Independence is signed by the Founding Fathers.

June-July 1778 - The British leave Philadelphia to find a new base.

June 4th, 1781 - British start to capture many legislators in Virginia (Events Leading to the Siege of Yorktown).

August 19th, 1781 - The Continental Army begins to move south (Events Leading to the Siege of Yorktown).

September 5th, 1781 - Fleet guards from France defeat Cornwallis's Army while entering through the Chesapeake Bay (Battle of Yorktown Begins).

September 28th, 1781 - The Battle of Yorktown begins due to the importance of winning the war.

October 17th, 1781 - General Cornwallis surrenders.

October 19th, 1781 - A formal surrender ceremony is held, General Cornwallis does not attend (Battle of Yorktown Begins).

November 13th, 1782 - The Treaty of Paris is drafted and impacts the Revolutionary War (The Treaty of Paris).

September 3rd, 1783 - The Treaty of Paris is signed and put into effect.

1786 - Shay's Rebellion starts influenced by the Battle of Yorktown

1787 - Shay's Rebellion ends
