("Education Amendment of 1972")

The Title IX Act was introduced to the public on June 23, 1972 (“Education Amendment of 1972”). Title IX created a turning point from 1972 - 1975. This act was a turning point in history because it gave women the right to equal education and sports ("The 14th Amendment"). This turning point happened after many women had been discriminated against. This act says that women should be able to participate in activities, the same education, and no women should be denied benefits. This act also states that women should be able to graduate with higher education and they should be allowed to receive higher education ("Education Amendment of 1972").
