Even in modern times, the Tesla Coil can influence the world. One prime example of this is the phone (Wilson). The phone uses WiFi which uses radio waves to look for an antenna with the right frequency to tune to. The radio waves that the phone uses are the same waves that the Tesla Coil uses, showing how the Tesla Coil can influence daily life two hundred years after it was invented. Another major example of this is the electrical toothbrush. The electrical toothbrush uses two coils that transmit energy, allowing it to charge (Wilson). When the toothbrush charges, inductive coupling happens, which the Tesla Coil helped make possible (Wilson). This shows how the Tesla Coil helps both scientists from the 1800-1900s and also scientists in present times. ​​​​​​​
