"Famous photo of Tesla with his coil producing a large number of sparks in the laboratory" Century Magazine 1899"

In 1891, Nikola Tesla invented one of the most revolutionary advancements in science (“1800-1899 Magnet-Academy”). Nikola Tesla, the inventor of the Tesla Coil, was interested in the idea of transmitting wireless energy, hoping to build large coils around the world allowing any device with a receiver coil to have energy (Tesla). In Nikola Tesla’s first lecture about wireless transmission in 1893, he demonstrated how to transmit wireless electricity, leaving the crowd in awe and excitement and Mr. D Cunningham even wanted to form a stock company for the Tesla Coil (Tesla). Soon after Nikola Tesla created the first Tesla Coil, he reformed it to carry more energy over longer distances, not overheat, and to be cone shaped (Kraakman).
