 D-Day, the invasion of Normandy, France was executed on June 6th, 1944 at 6:30AM. The D-Day invasion was a turning point in history because it changed the course of WWII by beating the Germans at Omaha Beach. D-Day was also important because the Allies fought the Germans, and captured Omaha Beach with valiance, and greatness.
