All the nearby university closed due to the accident that happened Kent State University. President Nixon couldn’t get the people he needed for the support in the Vietnam war.
Negative changes after the event is that president nixon forced people to be in the military because he couldn’t get anyone to join the military.

This event is still important today because people who witnessed the event first-hand knows how dangerous protesting can be.
