What happened before the event?

The U.S was in the Vietnam war. The U.S needed help so President Nixon bombed Cambodia Because Cambodia was helping Vietnam with the war. President Nixon needed to draft 150,000 people to help the U,S with the Vietnam War. Before no one knew about the draft people didn’t care. When people realized what is going to happen, they started to protest against it. Meanwhile, the Vietnam War was still happening for 10 years. 

President Nixon needed to draft 150,000 people into the military so they went to college campuses. 

College graduates went outside their colleges and protested against the draft. 

Guardsman was there to stop the protest. The college graduates threw stuff at the guardsman and the guardsman got irritated and killed 4 wounding 9.

The U.S needed help so they asked President Nixon for support.
