Winston Churchill’s speech “We Shall Fight on the Beaches” is important because it demonstrates the power of that words can have in some of the most dire of circumstances(“A Brave Speech”). The speech “We Shall Fight on the Beaches” relays overcoming fears and challenges with ambition, a clear mind set, and hope (History.com Editors). Winston Churchill stated confidence and reassurance when he said “Work is proceeding everywhere, night and day, Sundays, and week days,” which means every time the British obtained the chance to become better or achieve a goal they worked hard at it (Churchill).Churchill’s speech focused on the fact that they still had a chance to win World War II. The road to victory was long, but nevertheless the British won World War II with determination and confidence (National WWII Museum).
