Susan B. Anthony and Jeannette Rankin

Susan B. Anthony's accomplishment was a very influential part in women's lives by providing women with their voting rights. When Anthony saw how many rights women didn't have she decided to make a change to how women lived by fighting for women's voting rights. People began recognizing how unequal women's lives were compared to men. Anthony later helped make the 19th Amendment happen which gave women the right to vote (Mathias). Soon after women finally received the law that let them vote changed how women lived, it made it to where women started to receive the same amount as men, and to where women could work in the government. Such as Jeannette Rankin becoming the first woman to be elected to run in Congress in 1916 ("Women in Politics"). This was a big part of women's lives because it showed that their lives were going to change. What Anthony did for women influenced other women to fight for their rights and for others rights as Diane Nash did when she started her fight for black men and women to vote in 1965 ("Women in Politics"). What Anthony did influenced women to be open minded and to take authority of their own rights.
