Influence

"Desmond Tutu with President George H.W. Bush of the United States" (CNN Desmond Tutu: A Life in Pictures).
Desmond Tutu’s influence after apartheid was great as he helped to advocate against racism, drugs, war, and human rights violations (Biography.com Editors). Desmond Tutu helped to speak for treatments of HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis (Biography.com Editors). Tutu wrote many noteable books such as No Future Without Forgiveness in which he talks about living through apartheid as black man, and God is Not a Christian in which he discusses his faith and how it helped to get him through apartheid (Biography.com Editors). These books have helped to not only teach about a first hand account of apartheid, but also have helped to influence many South Africans into converting to God and growing deeper into their faith (Biography.com Editors). Tutu's work in the the Truth and Reconciliation Commision (TRC) helped to influence many other countries into developing their own system for dealing with these matters, such as Canada and Norway ( Truth and Reonciliation Commision...)
