Desmond Tutu was a religous figure who helped to end apartheid in South Africa and, reform the South African government from 1971 through 1994, and helped to cause a global reaction condemning apartheid (Biography.com Editors). Desmond Tutu was a reveloutionary figure as he helped to end aparthied and racial segregation against South Africans (Biography.com Editors). It is because of the incredible work of Desmond Tutu, that South African apartheid has permanently ended.
