Introduction
("Alexander Graham Bell at age 18” ca 1865.)
.
Alexander Bell was born on March 3, 1847, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Bell was a smart and curious child, and started thinking of many ideas of inventions at a young age. “At age 16, Bell began studying the mechanics of speech; he went on to attend Royal High School and the University of Edinburgh”. In 1870, Bell moved to Canada, but in 1871 he decided to move into the United States (History.com editors). Prior to Alexander Bell, the only way to communicate between one another was writing letters or having an in-person conversation (Forgeard). In 1871, Mr. Bell and his team started to work on a device called the telegraph, but he knew he wanted to improve this idea (History.com editors).
