Turning Point
("Alexander Graham Bell's design sketch of the telephone, ca. 1876")
The telephone created a turning point for communication in the eighteen seventies. Alexander Bell had an idea called the telephone, and that idea turned into a huge point in history. Communication was very important to him and his family. He wanted to create a way to talk to a person directly, without having to write the person letters. On March 7, 1876 the first telephone to ever be made came out, by Mr. Bell (History.com editors).
