The Women's Voting Act and the passage of the 19th Amendment ushered in a new era in history, increasing women's political participation and encouraging them around the world to stand up for their rights and stand up for what they believe in. In the past, many women were afraid to stand up for their rights and simply gave up being “real” women who were denied basic rights and followed their husbands. But after the struggle for women's suffrage, the world crossed the line and women were considered more than submissive and shy people, inferior to men.
