Bentley's importance is that Bentley was the first luxury and performance car company. Bentley affected many other car companies that is why Bentley is so important. Its touring credentials were praised by (“The Autocar magazine for combining “docility in traffic with exceptional speed potentiality on the open road”) (“The Bentley Story”). Bentley is important because they were also the first to make a grand tourer which is a high performance and luxury car. Bentley is also important because their cars are very costly (“Bentley History”). Their first car cost £1,050 in US money that cost $1,084 (“Bentley History”). Bentleys Cars are still very expensive (“Bentley History”). “The first production Bentley left the factory and was proudly delivered to its owner, Noel van Raalte, costing him £1,050 the car carries Bentley's hallmark radiator casing and flying 'B' insignia” (“Bentley History.”).  In the 1920s Bentley also impacted other car companies when Bentley set many speed and endurance records at Indianapolis the Isle of Man and Brooklands (“Bentley History”).
