"Harriet Tubman" Anastasio, Dina

Harriet Tubman was of major importance in history and the Abolitionist movement. Tubman was able to coordinate important meetings of large groups of people and large escapes as a conductor of the Underground Railroad. As well as being able to coordinate escapes, Tubman was able to fight in the Civil War as a nurse and for the rights that all people deserve. In the Civil War alone, Tubman was able to aid over seven-hundred enslaved people to freedom (Dawson). In fact, some people think that Tubman made such a significant influence on the United States of America that she should be on the front of the twenty dollar bill (A Bill To Require $20 Notes...).Whether Tubman was working on the anti-slavery movement or another movement for the freedom of the United States citizens, she was always working for human rights.
