"Harriet Tubman "Nelson Darby, John

1822- Harriet Tubman was born into slavery (Dawson).
1835- At the age of 13 Tubman was hit in the head with a two pound iron weight (Dawson).
1849- Tubman escaped slavery with fears of being sold further into slavery ("Harriet Tubman").
1850- The Fugitive Slave Act was passed making it illegal to assist slaves to freedom and giving slave owners the right to reclaim the escaped slaves as their property ("Harriet Tubman"). 

1850-Tubman made her reaction to the atrocities of slavery by joining the Underground Railroad ("Harriet Tubman").

Between 1850 and the Civil War- Tubman reformed slavery by taking 13 potentially hazardous trips into slave territory, aided 70 slaves to freedom and personally guided 60, all without losing  a single passenger (Dawson). 
1851- Tubman brought her family to freedom as a conductor on the Underground Railroad ("Harriet Tubman").
1863- The 13th Amendment was passed making slavery illegal(13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution...).
1863- Tubman freed over 700 enslaved people in the River Raid of the Civil War ("Harriet Tubman").
1899- Tubman received a pension from the United States Government for 25 dollars per year (Claim of Harriet Tubman).
1913- Tubman died in the House for the aged at the age of 91 from pneumonia (Dawson).
