Little Turtle was an important person to the Native Americans because he was a chief to the Miami people and led them into battles. He was a chief from 1780 to 1809 (Ironstrack). Little Turtle was revolutionary because his less advanced army killed 630 people in the battle of St. Clair's Defeat (Rafert 52). The Treaty of Greenville was the reaction of the Northwest Native American War or also known as Little Turtle's war (Ray).
