"Little Turtle Memorial Statue"
When Little Turtle signed the Treaty of Greenville, he impacted the Native Americans by making peace between Americans and Native Americans, and at the same with uniting the Native American groups. Little Turtle agreed to eradicate fighting, free prisoners, and to recreate a new border (Ray). Agreeing to The Treaty of Greenville had both positive and negative impacts on the Native American society. The Natives became able to live longer because they were no longer dying to war and the Natives who were trapped by the Americans became free (Ray). However, the Natives also became enraged because they had to give up most of their land when they signed the treaty (Ray). After the war, Little Turtle’s life and how he thought were impacted as well. He wanted to change the way that the Natives worked and he did this by becoming an advocate for peace and started agreeing with the Americans (Ray)
