Influence

Little Turtle did many influential acts that lasted many years. He positively influenced his people with farming and trying to make their lives better. He negatively influenced the Natives by the changing of borders (Ray). At first, the Native People would follow where the animals were but they couldn't anymore because of the border change so they had to start farming. Little Turtle requested farm equipment from President Thomas Jefferson ("I. Address of Little Turtle"). Farming gave the Native Americans a new way of gathering food. When Little Turtle signed the Treaty of Greenville, he influenced the border change (Ray). This border influenced how the natives found food, lived, and thought. The border also took away a large portion of Native American land (Little Turtle).
