On December 10th, 1948, the United Nations finished the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (“Universal Declaration of Human Rights” OHCHR). Before the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, World War II had devastated the world. The chaos and fear from the atrocities committed during World War II allowed the world to wish for protection and peace ( "Universal Declaration of Human Right" OHCHR). Because of this desire, mankind as a whole came together to create the United Nations, in order to protect humanity with law and the might of nearly the entire earth (“Universal Declaration of Human Rights” OHCHR). The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a document dedicated to the universal protection of freedom, dignity, and equality for human rights (“Universal Declaration of Human Rights”).
