The UN Can No Longer Protect Human Rights by Itself
Humans around the world are treated differently now than they were before the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was created; this document has influenced the world to treat all people with respect. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights has inspired how treaties are written, along with the document being mentioned in constitutions and multiple other documents' preambles; for example, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights, and the American Convention of Human Rights (“Universal Declaration of Human Rights”, Google Books). The Universal Declaration of Human Rights has paved a way for all people to be ensured the treatment of fairness and respect no matter their background (“Universal Declaration of Human Rights” OHCHR). Today, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Is still a foundation for human rights worldwide, it is a document that has influenced all people to treat others with equality no matter who they are; the Universal Declaration of Human Rights continues to contribute to the ongoing movement towards equality for everyone (“Universal Declaration of Human Rights”).
